San Francisco is known for its scenic beauty, cultural attractions, diverse communities, world-class cuisine, and seven hills. In reality, San Francisco has over 40 hills, hills that add to the loneliness and isolation of many older people living in the city. Fortunately, LBFE staff did 2,145 remote and in-person visits in 2021 and serve 375 elders. Volunteers work diligently to bring friendship and celebrations throughout the year to an ever-increasing number of older adults.
